Users stay away from DVDFAB Media Player, for your sake. In their Forum, they will lock the questions you have, if they feel their scam is being exposed and they will never answer your requests. In their Privacy Policy, they say they will spy on you and sell your Data, even when you just visit their site. If you subscribe to their platform, there is no way of deleting your account. You have to go after and delete remaining folders and 10+ regedit entries, to get rid of it from your Pc. You cleaning programs will find it present still, even when you have uninstalled it.
The program as soon as you install it, will take control of all the NTUSER.DAT files in all your C:\Users\ Folders. They tell you that they will spy on everything you have on your Pc and sell your Data and that they will indict you by law, if they feel like it. Before thinking even of installing it on your System, read their Privacy Policy. They already have a streaming product don't they called "Streamfab"?īeware!!!Beware!!!! DVDFab Media Player, is the biggest official spyware I have come across. I don't stream so any streaming functionality is meaningless to me. VLC, MPC, PotPlayer are viable alterantives to this garbage. I'd much rather make a donation to someone who is focused on functionality than on spying on their customers and nagging them with endless update popups. Two major releases later and that is still the same.Īnd it's a DVDFab product, so you know it's loaded with telemetry, tracking, malware and bugs.
The trial period lasted one reboot, which occured 15 minutes after I installed it then it said my trial period had expired. I tried it back in v5 when my 14 (or 30?) day trial was supposedly in force. I had a nightmare trying to sync audio on some content.
But it does nothing that free software can't already do and it doesn't even work as described. Why would you pay annually for any software? That's just silly. For someone in Australia this software costs upwards of A$280 for the lifetime license.
